We stayed in a large one bedroom apartment that had a second bed in the living room. It was very clean and very quiet. This apartment is a great choice for families - don't let the bold design choices from different decades put you off - my family loved this place.

Wonderful, spacious property in cute, ocean-side town. Great breakfast/dinner available from owner of property (breakfast included). Great for northern lights viewing and catching the sunset.

This was a fine stay. Room was comfortable and clean. Slightly outdated. We did have some troubles with check in because we didn’t get a code from the host, but other than that the process was smooth. Not much to do in the area surrounding.

Spacious apartment with very functional kitchen. It was a little hard to find since there wasn’t a picture on the website and the name of the place was in very small lettering. However, that did not deter us from having a good stay. Would recommend.

This place was disgusting. It smelled like sulfur the water was horrible smelling. You could eat or drink in the apartment due to smell. I would NOT recommend this place to a dog. It also has windows facing a graveyard.

The apartment looked very rundown, very strong sulphur smell in the washroom and inside the building. My daughter couldn't rinse her mouth without gagging! outdated furniture and the beds were too small. washroom taps and lights did not work properly.For the price they're charging the service and the whole look was very poor. with that kind of price you can get a five star hotel in America, with excellent room service.Very disappointing, never going there again, was definitely a waste of money.

The view was pretty disappointing and scary we got drawn away with uploaded mountain/lake view but there is a cemetery 30m from the stay. Addition to that water had sulfur smell, it’s not drinkable. Room is spacious and clean with big bathroom. But looking at the price point comparison made us feel it is very very expensive. My recommendation - Think twice and explore more options. Side note: This was our expensive yet worst stay in our whole Iceland trip.

The guest house and the apartments are in two different locations. I had not received an email with an entrance code so we drove to the guest houses to try and speak with someone as there is no front desk. The staff there could not find our reservation at first nor could they give us exact directions on how to get to the apartment. The woman we spoke with couldn’t remember the access code at first either. Once we figure out where we were going, we were glad we had booked the apartment as it had a private bathroom. It was a super cute four leg tub. However, when the first person went into shower they stepped out to a lake on the floor in the bathroom as it had been leaking from a pipe under the tub. There were no extra towels, so cleaning and drying the mess was difficult. No one else showered so that we didn’t make the problem worse. There was plenty of space in the apartment which we liked. But very few choices for food as we got into town towards the end of dinner time.

This apartment building is a two story walkup, with stairs outside to get to front door. Don't bring heavy suitcases! Door has keypad and apartment key with receipt is hanging on hook to the left of the door. Anyone arriving before you can take any key to browse the building. Apartment 4, ours, seemed remodeled recently to have a room with bed, and side board with tv, and a disportionately-sized bathroom. Not really an apartment. Below side board is a microwave and small refrigerator, neither of which we used There is an assumption that you will somehow figure out how to cook in that room although only two small cups, spoons, and two plates were available. Sign on wall had price list punishment for not cleaning up, although only the bathroom sink was available for doing dishes, and an almost empty soap bottle was in the cabinet with hair dryer and a brush. The bathroom is huge, with clawfoot bathtub, tiny sink, and a side chair. Generally, the place felt rundown. It is in a small town neighborhood without much to compel walking around. We never saw anyone managing the place. It is possible this kind of accommodation is typical outside the couple of Iceland cities, but to give it a high rating seems unfair to the people browsing to find a place. Overall, we would say 3.0.

Arrived at property and had not received instruction on how to gain entry. Fortunately there was a telephone number postedans I called that to get the code into the building. I received an email after the call. The building looked old and not cared for. The apartment we stayed seemed clean. The steps to and in the building were many.

I got a shocked when we arrived on location. The apartment looks very old..i cant turned on the staircase light. It's next to a cemetery, which i dont really like. Fortunately the room is relatively clean. There is a supermarket nearby.
