Spa closed with a note about poor behavior of prior guests. Quite ridiculous to be made to pay for other mistakes Also using rooms service was hard work. Missed drink off order when delivered the staff were no help when I rang they didn’t know what I was talking about. Rooms not like what was advertised

The staff were really lovely and friendly. The room was great. Getting up the stairs with two really heavy suitcases was a little difficult but we coped. Having the bistro right next door was super convenient. Also having access to a laundry was just brilliant as we had already been away from home for well over a week and really needed to do some washing. The gentleman behind the desk was really helpful, even changing some notes into coins so we could use the machines. Would stay again but if we had big suitcases we would ask for a downstairs unit now that we know that there are stairs.

This has been my 6th or 7th stay, living in Mildura it’s the perfect base for a melb medical appt (without having to stay in city Melbourne, catching a flight from tulla the next day, or a leisurely catch up halfway with my bestie! Cleanliness, staff, updated freshly rooms & ensuites & showers, facilities, safe parking & having the beautiful 4star meals in the bistro a couple of metres from your room or room service is absolutely 5 stars in my opinion! I’ve tried about 5-)6 diff in Bendigo & this is now the only place I stay if needing to break my trip & avoid staying in melb or catching up with friends!! An extremely friendly clean country pub & accommodation! See you in nay for a night or two on our return from Bali on an overnighted flight

I’ve stayed at the National many times prior to C. However I feel it’s gone downhill or hasn’t been kept up to par or with the times…perhaps a smart tv or Chromecast. Half the standard tv channels don’t work. There is a DVD player in the room with no DVD’s. The original room we were given had a sticky floor and dust all over the TV unit. It also had a funky smell. We were then given another room. The walls were dirty, the bannister was missing paint and plaster. The fridge was leaking internally. One face washer for two people is not cool. The bed linen was clean, there Is a swimming pool, although the liner wasn’t clean. Convenient to the pub for meals and the owners were friendly enough. If you’re just looking for a bed, it will suffice.

The place was very clean and hotel staff was super friendly and accomidating. The pool wasn't kept up very well with leaves and bugs,dirt and such. The hot tub was also out of order which was one of the reasons we wanted to stay there was to enjoy the soak after a long day of being out.

Our unit is on the ground floor and has one bedroom. We initially believed that we could park our car in the next private garage, but we were surprised to find that it was not feasible. Second, the first level was where we resided. The fact that there were further rooms above surprised us. The residents upstairs were walking quite noisily, and we could hear it. I don't know if they intentionally walked loudly. The sound insulation was also quite bad.

Convenient overnight stay
Convenient location for an overnight stop on our way to Melbourne. Meal at pub next door was good. Negatives were that we could hear talking from the room beside us and could smell cigarette smoke from someone smoking outside our room.
