"Friendly and lovely place. Our room was small but it had everything we needed. Jo kindly left us croissants and yogurts for the morning and was very flexible with check-in. Askrigg is a beautiful village. It’s certainly worth a visit if you are a fan of James Harriott!"

"Lovely setting, cottage could of been a little cleaner."

"Village location in the yorkshire dales. Parking available but not guaranteed immediately outside of the apartment. Simple kitchen, but good enough to make meals. Comfy beds (2 doubles), good bathroom and living area (also has a sofa bed). Perfect for a weekend away to explore the local area. Would stay again."

"There are only 3 pods, which protects the quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The view is exceptional and a place to truly relax. The pods offer a good standard of living space with a lovely hot shower and a really comfortable bed. The local sheep add an interesting intro to being in the countryside and lovely to watch. The pod is reached by a narrow single track road but this didn’t cause us any difficulties. The location is great for getting most places in the Dales. We will definitely be back. "

"It was a nice hotel, parking is very limited, at night they lock the car park door but you climb all the stairs with your bags to find out. You then have to exit the car park and walk up the street, there isn't a bell or sign to warn you. Bedrooms are also a small trek using two lifts from reception. Rooms and bathrooms are nice and cery well equipped. Wifi is very good too. Bar is nice, staff are exceptionally friendly and food is tasty. "

"Stayed at this hotel before, tucked out of the way but close enough to the local shops and pubs/Restaurants. staff were pleasant andcattentive, nice spacious comfy room, Breakfast was clean and tasty with a wide choice, all in all a good stay, my only slight negative is the parking, spaces are limited, however if people parked sensibly and not selfishly , there would be ample space ."

"Lovely CS and warm welcome. Hotel was very decorated and Christmassy. Quality of room service was disappointing, food tasted frozen then fried which was greasy and bland. Room was clean and tidy. Lots of goodies to choose from for a hot drink in the room. Shower was spacious, very hot water. "
