"It was unique in that it wasn’t in the place shown on the map. The local people had never heard of it. and they didn’t reply to phone calls. I didn’t stay there because I couldn’t find it! It’s not on Main st, as they claim . I doubt if I will get a refund. Annoyed. "

"Du 15 au 17 aout 2024. Famille de 5 avec trois enfants. Super sejour à 1,5 kms des plages de Passikudah et Kalkudah. Superbe demeure tranquille et ramassée sur elle même autour d'un patio ombragé et vert. Super petit déjeuner au bord de la piscine. À ne pas manquer! Chambres spacieuses, propres et impeccables. Seul bémol pas beacoup de variété de plats au diner mais tout est excellent!"

"We greatly enjoyed our stay at this Resort. It was right on the beach, the room was beautiful, and the staff amazingly helpful. There did seem to be an everlasting towel shortage while we were there but the staff were friendly and helpful in ensuring this caused as little inconvenience as possible. I would highly recommend getting a ground level beach facing room! "

"Maison d’hôte sur la plage Il y aurait tout pour en faire un endroit merveilleux mais pour cela il faudrait accentuer les efforts sur le Menage, le matériel qui est cassé. Tout est laissé à l’abandon (matelas déchiré et tache sur les transats). Les baies vitrées n’ont pas du voir un chiffon depuis des années. La plage devant la maison est plein de détritus. "This was our second visit to Amaya and was happy to be able stay here again. The ambience and staffs were very pleasant. The beautiful Pasikuda makes Amaya a great place to stay in. The only thing was the hotel is based in the Tamil speaking region so it would’ve been great to be greeted and approached in Tamil as well. Kindly use both the national languages or use English entirely. "

"We stayed here for two nights on our journey down the east coast. The bedroom and bathroom were huge with all the amenities you'd expect, even English channels on the TV. The pool is fabulous and the location on the beach is perfect. We went half board and were satisfied with the meals. However if we were staying longer I probably would just do b&b."
