We come to Banff yearly and decided to try a new hotel. We enjoyed the room and the bed was very comfy. We had paid for an upgrade and there was no table to eat at so that was disappointing. We also weren’t impressed by the $20/night parking… other hotels we have stayed in have included this. As we were treating our stay as a retreat and planned to stay in our room most of the time. we found the room service menu to be limited and the breakfast quite over priced… it was a nice clean hotel just not for us. We won’t be returning.

This property was perfect for a weekend, 2-night stay in Banff! The property is located right in the heart of Banff and all shopping and dining downtown Banff is less than a 10 minute walk down the road. The hotel had all amenties needed for a trip. Great and friendly staff as well!

Warm, cozy rooms. Staff are friendly. However, underground parking is additional fees and bathrooms are quite outdated. Otherwise, great stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at Royal Canadian Lodge. The facilities were clean and well maintained. The pool area was also great. The hotel was a short walk from the town centre

The room is clean and good to live. Only the bar close too early. Last call is 8:45 pm. And the food is a bit expensive with less quantity. If only for stay, it is a good place.

It was a terrible experience. We got transferred to a different hotel because they didn’t have room.Transferring us to a different hotel was not as simple as promised. I felt completely taken advantage of throughout the entire process. The Banff Inn had the reservation printed out and got me to fill in the details and sign it, confirming that it was the three-bed suite. The price was $179.00. I had already paid $241 when I had booked. When I asked about the discrepancy, the front desk clerk was extremely rude. When I brought up that I had an issue with paying a higher rate for a cheaper hotel he replied “well if you don’t want to stay at our cheap hotel, you can leave”. This was a very snarky comment to a reasonable concern. He said I would have to bring it up with Royal Canadian. I asked for a copy of the original bill he had me sign so that I could provide it to Royal Canadian, he refused. When I had originally booked at Royal Canadian, it was in large part so my kids could go swimming. When I brought that up I was told it was no problem and that we could go over to Royal Canadian to swim. Not ideal but we were willing to cooperate. What wasn’t mentioned was that this is a ridiculous proposition. We had to walk over in our clothes, boots, coats and purse. There was no change room or lockers at the pool. Just a tiny shower area and boot shelf. The room at Banff Inn was not great. Uncomfortable beds, no blackout curtains, view directly looking into the room across the hvac

The hotel was clean but a little small. The mineral pool was very good. The water was warm for kids. The hotel is located off the main downtown area which is nice and quiet. However, it is a 10 minutes walk to downtown. It would have been better if the hotel offer access to Roam transit.

This hotel was the worst experience I've had. Before I get into it, I would like to say Peter working the night desk was absolutely phenomenal. Amazing worker. Now, as for the hotel and the managers.. different story. The room floor was dirty, we found old toys left by a previous guest, the room clearly had not been cleaned. Our fridge was disgusting, smelled like mildew and mold. We brought it up to the front desk and they said they'll have someone come check it out. We left for the day, later returned to see a new fridge was put in our room, only to find someones old food still in there. That was unacceptable. We had a manager come to the room and look at it, and he initially said we could go to the bar and have some cocktails on the hotel as a means of cooling down. We accepted. Then we were handed two coupons for a house wine. Not at all what was promised. On our last day, we wanted to have a shower and get ready to leave. Only to discover we had no hot water in our room. The hotel, staff, and everything about the way they handled the situation was awful. I recommend finding any other hotel in banff. Worst experience of my life.

Wonderful place to stay. Close, walkable distance to shopping and dining options. Staff always pleasant and very helpful, including their robot :). Rooms were very clean and comfortable and absolutely loved the fireplace. Pool is small but beautiful, hot tub and sauna were amazing. Parking is a bit tight but other option (street parking) is available if timing is right.
