Baluarte Bridge is an extraordinary cable-stayed structure that stretches across a valley between the states of Durango and Sinaloa. Its road is a dizzying 1,322 feet (403 meters) above the valley floor, making it one of the top 10 highest bridges of any kind in the world. The bridge is 66 feet (20 meters) wide and consists of four lanes. Its 12 piers rising from the valley floor keep it steady. Gaze up at the two central pylons that rise with many steel cables that keep the bridge in place high in the air.

Baluarte Bicentennial Bridge is the official name of the structure. The bridge, which was built in 2008 and inaugurated in 2012, runs a distance of 3,688 feet (1,124 meters).
