"Ideal location Good communication Cleanliness questionable, wasn’t sure if apartment had been cleaned prior to arrival-two towels dumped on top of washing machine so not sure if clean or not so had to wash and dry prior to use. Bin in bathroom and kitchen were full and smelt because of used nappies in them. Sink strainer had food debris in it and the floor was dirty. Shame because it had everything that we needed for the weekend at a good price "

"This was a very comfortable and large apartment with two rooms and a kitchen/bath. There was a washer and dryer which we did not use but were happy to see. There is a shower and a tub! The beds were extremely comfortable - nice and firm mattresses and everything was very clean. The owner was very friendly and happy to help with details. We decided to spend the holidays in Riga this year as we gathered our family from the UK, KSA to be with our son in Riga were he is going to school. "Nice area, walking to downtown, big rooms, with decent kitchen, no TV, shower very tight you can pass from hot to cold water just by moving accidentally with your elbow. There is a bad odor coming from the water pipes in all the building (old installations)."

"Well located, spacious and functional apartment with good cable channels, Wi-Fi, kitchen and washing machine. The apartment is quite hot in summer and there is no ventilation in the bedroom. There is a mobile air-con unit but it leaks water onto the floor. Also, the low quality bed sheets did not fit the mattress and they became uncomfortable every night when they came loose. It is a shame that they didn't simply have proper sheets, and they should provide a top sheet."

"Nice place in a good location, very friendly service. Big enough for a family of four, accommodates in the extreme case even 8 people. The negative sides: (i) extremely noisy, because right downstairs is a popular pub. Hence not recommended for a family stay; (ii) the beds were very uncomfortable, making it difficult to sleep. Also night tables and reading lamps would be nice."

Excellent stay

"The stay was excellent. The hotel is very well organized. Centrally located. Quiet. Sound insulation is great. But the room was lacking a bedside table on one side of the bed. That was bizarre. Bathroom door not properly closing. I love my husband, but I also love privacy in the bathroom. Breakfast is excellent once you figure out small tricks for extra menu. Takeaway breakfast for early morning travelers is a luxury these days. However, one thing to keep in mind is not to put too many liquids into breakfast bag, because of the liquid restrictions at the airport. Sandwiches were very yummy at 6am onboard the plane. Gym was a pleasant surprise that ought to be discovered earlier. Sauna is very good. Showers need a proper door. Rest area in the gym/sauna could be improved."

"I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hotel. I expected that as an older building it would be somewhat outdated and old fashioned. In fact most of the facilities appeared to have been recently renovated from the huge triple room we had to the spa and the restaurant. Spa area is not huge but I enjoyed the wave machine in the pool and the sauna was the best I have been in. Breakfast was perfectly adequate. I didn’t dine in the restaurant but Easy Pizza next door was good. Location convenient for all attractions and we walked everywhere except the zoo which was an easy tram ride. Definitely recommend. "
