On the southern bend of the Jinjiang River, the vast Baihuatan Park is a diverse and scenic set of paths, gardens and ponds. Note that the park is open year-round from morning until evening and has no entrance fee. Its name means Pond of a Hundred Flowers.
Baihuatan Park is on the southern flank of a bend in the Jinjiang River in the Caotang Residential District in western downtown Chendu. Ride the metro or bus to get to a stop near the park. Visit some of the nearby sights, including the Culture Park and the Chengdu Sichuan Tapestry Woven and Embroidered Museum.
