"The room was neat and clean. The lounge had a nice place to sit by the fire as well as a good selection of beer and wine at the bar. You can easily walk into town from here. It’s a short walk with a sidewalk the whole way."

"The check in and check out process is very unorthodox but extremely easy and simple. I was a little worried when I went into the office/welcome room to get the key because it smells like cigarettes, but the room itself was perfect. You can tell they are updated rooms and look exactly like the pictures shown. They even have that fresh wood smell which makes the room feel like you’re in a cabin and not just a room. We loved our stay here and would definitely come back. "

"It’s a motor lodge - we had a nice large room overlooking some of the high peaks . Room is large and you can control the heat. Mattress is firm but not overly so. Nice hairdryer and bathroom in general. Very clean. Carpeted (brown probably a good choice!) - might be useful to have a boot tray this time of year. "

"If you like a room that smells humid and like an old cigarette, this is a place for you. The room hasn’t been upgraded in a generation and the shower had water damage and black mold on the ceiling. The pool and hottub were shut down, and looked like they had been for a while. Of course they didn’t provide notice of any of this, especially to a family coming up to enjoy skiing, and all the outdoor activities the Lake Placid area has to offer, and would love nothing else but to soak in a hot tub...

"This recently renovated hotel is a gem, perfectly located near both Lake Placid (12 minutes) and Whiteface (5 minutes). The modern upgrades provide a comfortable and cozy stay, while the kind, attentive, and accessible manager (Keith) who goes above and beyond to ensure every guest feels welcome (including upgrading our room, helping us make reservations for dinner and offering rides). "Town House Lodge was the perfect spot for our quick overnight. We got in late and the room was ready and waiting for us. The room was super chic and modern and very clean! It was also a great price. We knew we weren't staying long, so didn't want to spend a ton. This is also an excellent location - not far from main street. Would definitely stay again!"

"Renovated nice hotel in central location and walkable to town. We stayed in a big room with a couch and lots of space(not sure if all rooms are the same). Heating was great in the winter. Putting fridge in the bathroom was the best idea ever, who likes the fridge buzz at night! Pretty lobby with nice display. Free coffee & snacks for breakfast"
