"Villa Misk scared us when we first got there. It looks very unfinished, and is a project under construction, and the road outside is a mud road, at least when we got there in Feb 2025. But the host, Ahmed, has an American accent and is very friendly and hospitable, as is his family. "Beatiful and aesthetic location. Great view of the river Nile and city of Aswan. The staff is super freiendly and helpful. Wonderful experience. Great location to take instagrammable pictures and videos. Only pain point - there was no WiFi, as their internet reception was being affected by wind. Need to invest in better infrastructure for connectivity services. But everything else was wonderful."

"The hotel was clean and comfortable, staff was really on the ball. They arranged a car for us to Luxor, with a couple of stops along the way (I recommend this). The only drawback for some people may be that it's adjacent to the bazaar. We found it charming to sit on the balcony and observe the hustle and bustle of the bazaar. Also, it closed at a reasonable hour. Still, if you want peace and quiet at 8am, you may want to at least ask for a room on the other side of the hotel. "

"Being in the Nubian village experience, if you love do mingle with the locals this is the place. We really enjoyed our stay. It's not in the city center but that is a good thing you can get anywhere quickly with their boat shuttle service. Or car service, I prefer the boat , car is not as relaxing "
