"This house was so adorable! We were running extremely late do to a change in our flight but the owner stayed up to greet us. She showed us around the village and where the stores were. Even offered to check on us if we needed it. The house itself was cozy and well kept. We had the pleasure of having a nice dog hang out outside our door. "Stunning property in a newly restored old house. Beautiful, spacious and well-appointed room. The common areas were comfortable and there was a lovely balcony. The breakfast which was beautifully served on the balcony was beyond compare. Local, fresh, and delicious Cretan treats. Archanes is close to Heraklion and the palace of Knossos and had plenty of dining options. We were in Greece for three weeks and our night at Carpe Diem was probably our best stay. Can’t recommend highly enough. "

"Beds were very hard but Athena, the owner, plans to get memory foam toppers. Athena was absolutely wonderful - she greeted us with wine and cheese and hugged us all when we left. The house was incredible."

"The hotel is located in a very touristic neighborhood with plenty of restaurants and shops. The hotel itself is outdated, the room we were staying was renovated partially. The beds were clean and comfortable. The bathroom very narrow and difficult to move inside. The breakfast was just ok. The hotel is good to sleep only even if it's close to the beach."

"It was a fantastic stay! Pros:- - The property is new and stylish. - Staffs are friendly and helpful, particularly Olga. Thanks to her and other staffs. - I had a rental car and the property offers free parking. - The mini market is only 2 mins walk from the hotel. - The Jacuzzi was another enjoyable feature! "Amazing, lovely staff who were so kind and looked after us all week - we enjoyed lots of the restaurants around the hotel, but the hotel's own bar and restaurant were the best for both dinner and breakfast! "This hotel seemed to be recently renovated so everything was in great condition. The staff was exceptionally friendly and service was great. "This was the loveliest place we stayed. It's rural and the views are amazing. It is simple, quiet and relaxing and the staff are amazing and really made our stay special. They have a small menu for guests and the food is EXCELLENT! We will stay here again even longer next time we are in Crete."
