"La Perla is a true find - not via satnav - but in every other way. The rooms are spacious with views and balconies. The breakfast is terrific and their dinner offerings are limited but tasty and reasonably priced. The family, husband, wife, wife’s sister and daughter all work the front of the house and do a terrific job. Back to that satnav comment. The hotel is well above Tremezzo with wonderful views. We found that neither our car or Apple Maps was accurate in getting us to the hotel. ...

Lovely Lenno!

"We found Lenno to be peaceful and quiet! Walking up Via del Porto to our stay was unique and easy. We enjoyed our stay even on a rainy day! Loved the small spots for espresso and cornetto every morning. Walked up to Villa Balbianello with amazing views! Treated ourselves to gelato after, best place in Lenno! Took the ferry over to Bellagio for lunch the next day but preferred Lenno even more after that, too busy and too many people there. Lenno is the perfect place on Lake Como!"

"Outstanding property . Lovely small boutique inn. A bit unusual to get to, but worth the effort . Wonderful owners, amazing history and Ariana was above first class as a hostess . Made our trip . Room was beautiful (LaVista) and great walking path in front of hotel allowed us to run each mornings. Nice relaxing retreat from the hustle and bustle of nearby Bellagio. Loved it! "

"We stayed for 5 days & enjoyed our stay in the Lake. We were in the top floor apartment which has a lot of stairs to climb, no lift. It is a little noisy as it’s right beside the main road so bring ear plugs as that made it better at night to sleep. The second room in the apartment is difficult to stand in as its ceiling is very low due to being an attic. I would recommend the owners upgrade the towels & bath mats as they were very old The staff are very lovely, helpful. Special mention to Nejla who gave us lots of recommendations & nothing was an issue. There are not a lot of restaurants in the area as it’s not centrally located in any of the larger towns however there is a lovely walking path to get around. There is also a nice little beach to swim in the lake about a 2 minute walk from the apartments and a small restaurant that is nice right out the front which was great for afternoon aperitif or dinner. Excellent spot of you don’t want to be in the hustle and bustle of the large towns. Also parking on site was great."
