"The Hotel Lotus is a great hotel and has a modern feel. This was our 2nd time staying at Hotel Lotus. At the beginning of our trip to Iceland we spoke with the Owner of the hotel and told her we were coming back at the end of our trip and how we really liked the accommodations and location. "This apartment is a gem!! It is located beside “bus stop 12” and we were picked up there for all of our excursions so extremely convenient. The apartment itself was perfect for our party of 3 and it had everything we needed for our stay. We took a short walk to a grocery store and made quite a few meals in the well stocked kitchen. The washer and dryer were a bonus! I highly recommend!!!"

"Our apartment was well equipped (with plenty of cooking utensils for our short stay), clean and modern. It was a good size for the 3 of us, had comfortable beds, was a good temperature and we had a view of the sea! "Excellent property in a prime area. Check in was smooth and communication with owners was easy. Only thing to be aware of is it is slightly tricky stairs to access, so have to be comfortable with stairs and carrying your luggage up them. Overall will stay again. "

"It was a wonderful stay. All of the staff were very kind. Especially Bruno and his co worker on the evening food and wine shift. Bruno makes the best lemon martini and margaritas! The hotel is right downtown on one of main streets. Grocery store is next door. Buy duty free on the way in. The wine/liquor shop is a hike. "

Wonderful breakfast, location, staff and room

"We got in very early the first day and were able to check in early and get breakfast for 40€. It helped save our trip! Breakfast was great and had little variations. The staff was friendly and helpful. Wonderful location. Room was as described, smaller than American rooms which was to be expected. Bathroom doesn’t have a fully closing door in the king room so be aware of that"

"This hotel was very helpful with us when our flights kept getting cancelled. The breakfast was fantastic, and we loved the location! Two grocery stores were just a few minutes away, where we got salad bars, local candies, etc. A pizza place is across the street, as is a taxi depot. While it's outside downtown, you get to be the last pickup for the day trips to the rest of the country (and Northern Lights), and the first dropped back off! The beds were very cozy, and the bathroom floors were heated tile. The only thing I disliked was the shower... no ledge to hold toiletries, much less prop up a leg for shaving, so you have to bend to the floor for each item (and I held the razor in my mouth for shaving, to avoid all the bending). But none of that is worth losing a star. It's a great choice for staying and I highly recommend it, as an avid world traveler! "

"This was a bucket list night and we saw the Northern Lights! Absolutely one of our favorite nights on our trip and the hot tub was easy to use and a huge bonus. The fire was easy to start and kept us warm all night. We ran out of wood though and didn't realize until morning there was more accessible in the kitchen. Whoops! There was a small bottle of sparkling Asti so we each had a glass and they had a few little macaroons which was nice. Hardly a mini bar and hor de vours as advertised lol but we were happy with them and thought they were a nice touch. When we arrived we could not find the email with the passcode to get in and were able to call someone who helped us right away. Only thing we'd say is that the view was mostly city lights while we were expecting something a little more private, but we did have plenty of privacy from the other domes. A short fence on the right side of the property would be a great improvement! All in all, it was one of our favorite stays and we would recommend!"
