Our specific room did require walking up stairs which my mum found difficult but we would still book again and book a ground floor room. A great hotel with a great history and price. Hard to beat!"

"Midnight arrival.noon departure. Guy at reception was spot on. Room not huge but met our needs. Bathroom compact but was well designed with excellent walking shower. Range of welcome toiletries and towels. Breakfast room was excellent and choice was extensive. One unusual thing .... bathroom light linked to movement sensor but we were awakened by it several times during the night whilst in bed ! ."

They were very accommodating offering us a different room to pick from, calling us taxis, and providing us with towels as some examples. The hotel itself has so much character and truly feels like a sanctuary. I highly recommend. Breakfast was excellent. The pool is not large, but works for a quick dip while sunbathing. "
