"The hotel was clean, the grounds were pretty and the staff was pleasant. Booked the hotel for the pool. My 12 year old said the pool was boring and I agree. The pool area environment was plain and not inviting especially for a kid."

"This is a very attractive hotel in a lovely setting, in the town of Montreuil-Bellay. The facilities are very good, but a restaurant for evening would be a definite bonus. However, the hotel is only a few steps from restaurants. Excellent breakfast.The staff are very pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed our visit."

"Our stay was relaxing and there was a very friendly welcome from the owners. One evening we had a reception with other guests, both French and English, in the beautiful, large garden. We sampled sparkling wine from Saumur. Our room had a door leading to the garden where we had our own table and chairs.The decor was authentic 18th century perhaps and all the furniture and ornaments were in keeping with a chateaux.
