"This property was above 5 stars . We got the 2 bedroom with the wrap around balcony on the 2nd floor. Our suite was fully furnished. The kitchen had just about any appliance you can think of, nes expresso machine with pods (and more upon request), toaster, microwave, pots and pans, silverware, water kettle and much more. "I loved this hotel for the location and decor. The bed was comfortable and the staff were so welcoming and helpful. The food in the restaurant was also fabulous, we had dinner and a few breakfasts. The location was great for exploring Casco Viejo. The only downside is the loud music coming from a hotel across the way until 2am. They offered to move us to the other side but there are church bells… so best to pick a room based on whether you're a night owl or early riser! "

"Great value in a convenient location, perfect for all of our needs. They provided everything we might need for an extended stay and communicated throughout the process. Would definitely stay here again. Note to property owner, the left side bedroom toilet needs to have a float adjustment. It did not always flush properly. Otherwise, perfect stay with strong internet. Appreciated that it was close to everything but still quiet at night. "

"It is in a great location, close to many highlights in the Casco viejo, though that also makes is noisy at night. Old odd building with spacious, clean rooms with nice east-facing balcony on street to enjoy morning coffee. The staff presence at reception is spotty, which can be disconcerting. wonderful rooftop terrace to enjoy the evening!"

"As a Hostel close to Casco Viejo, La Cigarra is a good option. Very affordable and close to the amenities of Casco Viejo. It appears to be a family run business, they are very friendly and nice. It is a good place for backpackers. The location is not for everyone. "
