However, service is difficult to find- nobody comes to the loungers or to the table at dinner to ask for drinks- and the buffet food was repetitive and had a poor selection. "It is a great hotel with comfortable modern suites, very clean. Everything is very generous, it feels safe with parking and security staff. Buffet breakfast and dinner is very good, huge choice and good taste. But can get busy with queueing. It has a good pool and basically its own private beach with lounges and also towel service. Everyone is friendly. There is not much around, so you would need a car, but I believe there is also a public bus as well as a hotel shuttle."

"A lot of things seemed to have seen better days. The children pool had some slides, but the surface was made of some concrete and started to peel off. The handle when walking of to the slides was broken and someone could easily die if they truly held on to it. The pool area in general needs some refurbishment. "

"My wife and I recently spent 11-days at Blue Bay in Afitos starting Sept 27 to celebrate a delayed 5 yr anniversary. Our stay at the Blue Bay was wonderful. We stayed in a double delux room 311 which is on the second floor with a 180 degree balcony overlooking the beautiful clear sea, and we could also look over to the right to see the Veranda, bar, restaurant, and pool. "Property is located in a very good spot in front of the sea. Rooms are spacious and nice. Only negative factor is that if it’s crowed you can hear almost everything. Apart from that the breakfast is served on a box and given to the room which contains a few basic items. Friendly staff."

"Complete luxury every single day. Food and service cannot be beaten and the resort is beautiful and offers everything couples or families could wish for. Rooms are due for an upgrade soon but do not let that put you off, they are still immaculate and have everything you might want. Sea views and sunsets are breathtaking "

"We have just left the Istio Club hotel, we spent a week there and loved it! Beautiful hotel, food, staff, rooms. Super clean the grounds are well maintained. Staff working are great, they are chatty polite and happy to assist with anything. We had a double room which had a partial sea view, there was some building work near by but did not effect us in any way. Food was excellent and fresh and plentiful. They are constantly changing the food to ensure freshness. Evening entertainment was fun if you wanted to be involved or not! There is no pressure and everything makes you feel relaxed whilst there. Beaches are good, there is a lot of seaweed. But it's from the sea so to be expected! Take water shoes as the pebbles and shingles are in abundance. Overall a great relaxing week no complaints! "
