Home away from home. Only nicer.
Cam, Victor and dog, Molly, warmly greeted us on arrival. They live on the property just behind the house. We had our dog with us and he and Molly got along very well.
Our room was very spacious, beautifully furnished, and with an extraordinarily comfortable bed. The en-suite bathroom was huge with a large shower. And everything was so clean.
What I really liked about 434 on Main is that while it's an older style home, it had been modernised in a way that was extremely homely and inviting. There is also a large fenced garden at the back of the house with sun chairs and a pretty little gazebo.
Cam and Victor cook breakfast for guests every morning. There is always a wide selection of fresh fruit, a basket of Cam's freshly baked muffins, scones or cakes, juice, french press coffee, and a hot dish that varied each day. Everything was scumptious. More than enough to see us through most of the day and to power us through our long walks.
434 is in Amagansett, at the northern end of The Hamptons on Long Island. There are a string of villages with cafes and shops to explore, but we chose to avoid that and just walk, rest and go for drives.
This is a beautiful part of the world and I can't recommended 434 on Main highly enough if you're looking for the perfect place to stay.
To Cam, Victor and Molly - thank you. We arrived utterly exhausted from an extremely busy year and we left feeling relaxed and refreshed.
