"Property seems very kid friendly, which is nice, but as we did not bring our children this trip, it was loud and overwhelming with kids running all over. Often difficult to get spots at the pool as well. We almost decided to go next door to the Nana Princess instead. Food was pretty good. Facilities have plumbing issues given the smells in the bathroom. Was not pleasant. Good value but not luxury. Live and learn"

"A beautiful hotel in the heart of Koutouloufari. Rooms are spacious with everything you could possiby need during your holiday, plus a bottle of wine to welcome you. The pool area isn’t huge but very pretty and never so busy you can’t find a seat or sunbed. So many brilliant places to eat and drink on the area. Perfect holiday destination."

"Staff (5*), Hotel (3.5*), Meals (2*) Negative start, we booked a superior double and we got a single with a small double against the wall (2nd person crawls on the bed), 1 side table, 1 coffee ☕ confirmed it was a single. Positive, Robert arranged an upgrade (extra cost). Appreciated upgrade but disappointed with the original room allocation. The staff were awesome (Stella, Joanna, Nassos and Djemalie Facilities as expected, communal toilets clean, bar was on occasion busy and pool loungers...

"I had a great stay at High Beach Hotel. It was the end of the season (literally - the day I left the place closed for winter). There were not many guests around, but the service was impeccable. I got a room upgrade and enjoyed a beautiful view of the sea. The food was excellent and had a great variety. The hotel is perfectly located to explore the central and eastern parts of the island by car."

"I stayed on the top floor in the off season and it was very good value. The apartment block is one of the most prominent in the whole area, so the views are spectacular. The apartment had everything I needed, with a small but well equipped kitchen. The bedroom is a good size with a great bed, and the room is dark and quiet at night. I didn't have a vehicle, but Stalida and the seafront are comfortably walkable. Recommended, I'd stay here again."

"This was if not thee best hotel I have stayed at. The food amazing the staff wonderful so helpful the whole experience was amazing. Thank you Michael . "2nd time staying here and it was superb as usual. Beautiful, clean property with a splendid pool and very friendly staff. It's a stone throw to the beach and all the best bars and restaurants. One slight negative is that if you book via Orbitz and not directly through Rainbow Apts, there is a daily fee to use the air conditioning in the room. This appears to not be the doing of Rainbow Apts, but that of Orbitz who do not mention this fee at the time of booking. I shall take this up with Orbitz, so beware this hidden cost."

"This hotel is wonderful for families. The rooms allow lots of space to spread out. The resort provided activities every night and a great breakfast every morning.My husband and I liked enjoying happy hour playing games by the pool while our daughter played with other kids she met at the resort. Each night we would walk the 5 minutes to get to lots of restaurants and shops. The beach was only about a 5 minute walk beyond that. Many excursions will pick you up from this hotel, so it made experiencing Crete very convenient. The hotel itself is a great value. Will return for sure. "
