We chose this hotel based on location and reviews and the location is really good, close to the nain street, the metro & the old town. We booked in and as we were tired from the travel the room was ok but in the morning I realised there was no balcony, which i had booked. The room had a fridge, a good size bathroom & bed but we like to sit on the balcony, weather permitting, in the evening after a busy day's sightseeing. No problem, the receptionist changed the room to one with a balcony. The bathroom was smaller but not an issue. No fridge, just an empty space where one had been but not a big deal. Breakfast was simple but there was pastries, eggs, salads, fruit, yoghurt, juice & coffee so no issues with that.
The issue for us was there were no chairs on the balcony so we had to drag stuff out of the room to sit down, even though we'd asked for another chair. It was dirty because of pigeon poo that had clearly never been cleaned up, there were 3 air con units on the walls, 1 was ours and 2 were for the next rooms, all of the pipes leaked water onto the floor because they'd come away from the downpipe. Badly maintained & certainly not doing the infrastructure any good either. And the other issue was a leaking toilet that was also siphening all the time, this meant constant water on the tiled floor, again that means water seeping into the building. The shower isn't bad but sometimes became suddenly hot and cold and water escapes all over the floor through door gaps. Could be b
