"Renovations in the area make for a louder environment than usual, but having been there in the past, it should get quiet again - when they’re done. Might be the coolest bar in Texas! The drinks are cold and refreshing, the bar staff is friendly, and everyone’s having a great time. The bar is located close to the reception area, and just across the way from the hotel’s garden. Smoking is allowed on the bar patio. The bar has an intimate ambiance and a nice upstairs area where you can drink at a higher elevation. Easy access to the bar from the rooms above, via stairs or one of two elevators. Bar opens at 11AM, so check in, drop your bags in your room, and head to the bar for some relaxing beverages! You can enjoy a coffee at the Menger’s sister property, The Crockett Hotel, in the morning with a short walk to their cafe before settling in at The Menger Bar later. "

"Just the perfect size for a couples quick getaway. The rooms are so BIG and comfortable. The rooftop pool is such a beautiful spot . (As long as not too crowded). We were right on river walk (the more romantic clan part ) .we will be coming back to this hotel ."
