"Had a wonderful experience at this cute little hotel. Staff was so warm and friendly, accommodations were so cute, clean, bright and best the AC was very cold. Breakfast was lovely each morning. Fun fact, we weren’t able to book our entire stay at this hotel, so we chose to ‘splurge’ on one of the fancy expensive hotels for our last night. Absolute waste of money. So if you’re wondering if this place is nice enough, trust me it beats the $1000 per night hotel. "

"The staff was excellent especially Diego. He really went above and beyond. I had a lot of problems with my flight and luggage and he did everything possible to help. Even changed the dates of my stay without charging me. The hotel is conveniently located near many shops and stores. "

"Amazing property! Everyone here is incredibly kind and so attentive, the room was absolutely beautiful! The view is gorgeous, and I love that it is a small boutique hotel with a really focus on taking care of you as the customer. Phenomenal experience, very close to the airport, and very close to Town center. Would absolutely recommend staying here, and would stay here again when I return."

"Wonderful experience - fantastic staff and service at this “oasis” - the restaurant was wonderful, the pool was refreshing after each day of touring, the staff helped arrange our extra tours and even arranged a rental car for us. Only downside - roosters wake you up early! About 5:15 each morning!"

"The cabin was ok and had a fairly well-equipped kitchenette. It's about a 15 walk to the downtown area in a sort of isolated area, so I tried not walk home late (but taxis are easy). The owner was helpful but not friendly, if that makes sense. She picked me up from the airport and drove me through town, and even gave me a ride to the laundry to bring my clothes. First, the good: The hotel is within 10mins walk to the main restaurant areas, we always felt safe, and the room was clean when we arrived.The pool area and grounds were picturesque and seemed to be well taken care of. "Tatiana goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is great! There is no internet currently and only a communal television and kitchen. Although a no frills accommodation, Cabañas Makupuna makes up for it in quiet, peace, and tranquility. I most definitely would stay here again!!!!! "

"The staff at Tupa hotel is very helpful and speak excellent English. This is not an island where you find luxury hotels. The facilities are well-worn and basic. Given you accept that, you would do well to book Tupa hotel for the kindness and service. Bed was comfortable. Storage plentiful. Location convenient and they were wonderful about picking me up at the airport and taking me back. On time and efficient. I had an ocean-side room with a sliding door that opened on a mini-patio. One thing you should know is that the cleaning person always left the sliding door open to air out the room. This helps prevent mildew in this tropical climate. So don't leave valuables lying around. This wasn't an issue for me since I don't travel with any valuables other than my passport and money, which I keep with me at all times. One thing I wish I knew before I went was that they can book you tours at the hotel. I booked separately and had an awful experience on the tours. Check with them about tours when you reach out to book. A beautiful island that is still rustic."

"Amazing place is owned by local friendly family. 5 minutes walk to best sunset spot on the island. Good restaurants nearby. Place is nice and clean. Full kitchen so you can cook if you want. There is no A/C in the room (but at the night it's pretty chill), and no breakfast/dining option on the property (in case you expect it)."
