"It’s a beautiful hotel. I understand since Covid they had been closed till last month so a lot of work is being done to get things running. Some few things may not be working well but generally I loved the place. Their restaurant meal has so many options especially for breakfast. "It was a good stay ,one knows what to expect from a City Lodge, and, they deliver. The stay pleasant, the staff are great, friendly and efficient. The room is good, probably needs an upgrade (my humble opinion), the bed is comfortable and the bathroom is adequate. The shower door did not shut fully and was somewhat bothersome. "The hotel was really nice. The staff did help us in many areas but even though they lived in Durban their knowledge was fairly limited about the area. All we were told was not to go out at night as it was not safe for white people. Even during the day do not wear a watch or show your phone.
