Stroll along the trails of the Atlantic forest and enjoy seafood at one of the quietest beaches in Abraão Bay.

Abraãozinho Beach is a charming cove sheltered by the verdant hues of undulating jungle terrain. The bay’s warm and tranquil water creates a serene swimming experience that is safe for children. Bring snorkeling gear to get a clearer view of the colorful fish nibbling at your knees.

Relax with a book in the shade of the palm trees backing the beach. Sunbathe on a sandy spot, before cooling down with a refreshing swim in the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy a seafood specialty at one of the tables belonging to the beach bar.

Tour operators at the back of the beach offer kayak rentals and other watersports options. Take a stand-up paddleboard out on the water here. Clamber over the picturesque rock formations that adorn the bay.

Embark on a trail leading through the forest with your family. Look for large exotic lizards between the trees. Discover some of the other charming sandy coves hidden behind the thickets of forest. Capture photos of these idyllic slices of beauty, framed by the dense foliage of the Atlantic forest and the crystalline water of Abraão Bay.

Beachcomb for marine treasures and shells. Notice the fascinating sea urchins, but be careful not to step on them. This calm strand stretches for about 0.8 miles (1.2 kilometers) and provides a quieter and less crowded alternative to the nearby lively Abraão Beach. The diminutive of “zinho” at the end of the beach’s name signifies not just its smaller size but also its significant appeal.

Abraãozinho Beach is a little northeast of Ilha Grande’s main port in Vila do Abraão. Travel by boat from the Brazilian mainland to Abraão Station. From the tourist pier, walk along the coast for about 1 mile (1.6 kilometer) to get here in 15 to 20 minutes. You can also reach the beach via water taxi. Make sure to see other nearby attractions, including Morcego Beach, Bica Beach and the San Sebastian Church.
