"We had an amazing stay at Castle Crest Motel. The staff were great. The room was not fancy, but it was clean, up-to-date, and well maintained. The location is an easy walk to the Strand and the beach. If I return to Townsville in the future (I hope I do!) I will definitely book here again. "

"Very convenient location, shops are in walking distances and close to the airport. The A/C unit in the room was quite old and struggling to reduce room temperature. The water pressure in the shower was quite low, they may need to look into it and fix. Breakfast may not be available on public holidays."

"Friendly and helpful staff. The outside vibes are a bit scary but the room was clean and appeared to have recently been redecorated, the bed was comfortable and the air conditioning functioning well. There was even a microwave, kettle, toaster and plates/cutlery to suit limited self-catering. I was a bit surprised at the lack of blanket or quilt - the bed comes with a sheet only. I was at the back so it was quiet but I think it could have been noisy if you were near the main road. Very good for the price "
