"Great lakefront hotel with excellent service. Room was spacious with a lake view. They will hold your luggage even after checkout, which was handy for me to be able to visit sites closeby, such as Matsue Castle which is only a ten minute walk north."

"Great place to stay in Matsue. Super close to the train station, an easy 15-20 min walk to the Castle District. Lots of good restaurants and konbini available nearby. Rooms are small but very comfortable. Hotel is very clean and well-run. A great place to stay."

"The Matsue Urban Hotel is a great place to stay while in Matsue. The breakfast is outstanding with a lot of variety including Japanese and American type of selections. The rooms are very clean and quiet. The location is very close to the train station which includes taxi and bus services. When I return to Matuse, I will stay here again."

"Although it was a capsule hotel, it was very comfortable. If you are going to keep things in the fridge and it disappears, it’s most likely the staff is holding onto it if you are bringing luggage it’s a better hotel if you only have one piece of luggage. "

"When you first get there, it seems like it's a standard, up-to-standards Japanese business hotel. But...my request of having a corner and/or a room not in between two other active rooms was not honored. Then I got placed in a room next to the elevator. I didn't notice it at first, but I could hear the elevator noise going up and down ALL THE TIME. Either the elevator is faulty and/or the walls are too thin. "Great stay! Our room overlooked the bay/river/lake (don't quite know which one it was) on the 4th floor. We booked a Japanese style room, and slept on floor futons. It was surprisingly comfortable for us even though we are very tall and double the size of locals. Our kids were loud at times even though we tried to tame them as much as possible. "部屋に冷蔵庫、バス、洗面の無いトイレのみのタイプでしたが、清潔に管理されていて安心して宿泊出来ました。洗面、無料の冷蔵庫、電子レンジ、給茶器は共同でコイン式の洗濯機、乾燥器がフロア毎にありました。男性専用の大浴場（あまり大きくなく、洗い場は3人分）とサウナは良かったがサウナ後の休憩場所が脱衣所だったのが残念、トイレに洗浄便座が付いて無かったのも残念でした。"

"My Japanese Mother-In-Law, wife and daughter stayed at the hotel for one night. Through the food and morning buffet was good the room was not in good condition. They notice a rotten smell as well as the washroom was not cleaned very well. They actually changed rooms. Also the futon and bedding should be replaced. "
