"We had the luxury room and it was really spacious! Amazing value for the price. Areas of improvement are the length of time it took to get the room refreshed. If you are staying over then the rooms are done last. The amenities are also nailed to the wall in the shower so they are difficult to use in the bath. Reception gave me some spares. We were upgraded on arrival - with an extra TV room - even though they didn’t need to, and the beds were so comfy, both of us had a wonderful night’s sleep. Despite the fact we accidentally came down to breakfast 10 mins before it ended, they still accommodated us, and it was a very good breakfast, with lots of options! On the second night, we ate at the restaurant and the food was cooked perfectly, topped off with a complimentary bottle of wine...

"Staff were friendly and the property itself exudes vintage elegance. Unfortunately our room (Room 5 on ground floor) smelt extremely strongly of damp, so we didn't unpack any belongings. Despite opening windows and airing the room, there remained a very strong smell. There is obviously a long-term damp problem with this room which the owners should really get fixed."
