"Our stay was very good. The location was excellent. The staff,the service and cleanliness was excellent.The food was varied and catered for all tastes and requirements and was very good. "Very nice 5 night stay. The heated pool was however not quite as warm as we hoped; I believe it was set at 24 degrees which when windy (which it often is in Fuerteventura!) isn't particularly warm; it's okay if you keep very active but we got cold splashing around with our child. For comparison, went to another place (in Marrakesh) where the pool was 30 (though that is very warm!). Large choice buffet & great quality but they need more coffee machines at breakfast, queues were ridiculous. AI was...

"We had a great holiday and loved out time there. We had a couple of issues with our shower/toilet but they were fixed in a heartbeat. Hotel and staff were fantastic and great service. "Rude, condescending and unhelpful reception staff (particularly the women working on Thursday 13 June at 9.45am) - unsafe (room safety is ill-maintained) no working locks on doors for solo travellers. Walls are paper thin you can hear other guests just talking in their room from your own. No gym as shown on photos, and no other activities. Food is bog standard. Beach towels and bath towels are thread bare. Hairdryer didn’t work and rooms very dated. Coffee machine is awful - had to go miles away...

Pool area very average and water cold. Treadmill in the gym didn't work, mini-golf and jacuzzis have been removed. Never had a pool towel when I went to ask for one. Conveniently located for the airport and golf courses as long as you don't mind aeroplane noise overhead. "

Only downside was the aloof attitude of the reception staff on arrival and departure who were not even interested enough to ask if we enjoyed our stay. "Stayed at R2 Rio Calma in Nov 21. Hotel is OKish, elegant Moorish exterior but rooms would benefit from a makeover. Food was buffet and can only say average. However pools and especially the grounds were really attractive. Hotel is approx a kilometre from main sandy beech. "

"I thought that the property was well maintained and organised, positioned in an ideal spot to access Caleta De Fuste resort and / beach. I was fortunate to receive an upgrade to Junior Suite. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. The Castle in the grounds gave the hotel a sense of grandness. Although the swimming pool was very cold, I did access it. I liked that my block (3) was very close to the pool and buffet restaurant. I liked that I could also eat in the other hotel and try various cuisines e.g. Mexican. My only improvement would be for the buffet food to be hotter than it was. I know in the Mediterranean there is a tendency not to have the food piping hot but that's my preference."

"Ich fühle mich in diesem Hotel sehr wohl.Habe nach 2022 das Hotel das 2. Mal gebucht und es nich bereut. Direkter Zugang zum langen, feinen Sandstrand, nettes Personal, bei Nachfragen wird gerne geholfen und allgemein eine sehr ruhige Anlage. Sicher gibt es etwas Renovierungsbedarf an manchen Stellen, stört mich persönlich aber nicht. Das Gesamtpaket passt für mich, ich fühle mich wohl dort. Für allein Reisende wäre eine Lösung zur Kennzeichnung des Platzes beim Abend essen und in der Bar schön. Mir ist es des öfteren vorgekommen, dass nach dem Gang zum Büfett mein Tisch zwischenzeitlich neu eingedeckt wurde. Spricht ja eigentlich für das motivierte Personal. In der Bar war nach dem Getränke holen mein Platz durch andere Gäste belegt. Eventuell ein Kartensystem oder ähnliches? Vielen Dank für einen wunderschönen Urlaub!"

"This hotel was spotless in all areas. Very quiet for a relaxed, chill out adult only holiday. There was a hen party there at one point who were quite noisy, but there are 3 different pool areas so you could always escape the noise.I would imagine you would have to get up very early in high season to get a sunbed though, they were mostly all taken by 8 am. I enjoyed the food and thought the choices available were perfectly adequate. Evening entertainment was a bit dire and could do with improvement. Staff worked hard and were pleasant, maybe 2 serving behind the bar in the evening would be an improvement as there was often a queue. I enjoyed my holiday and would return if I ever come back to this resort."
