"The hotel definitely caters to the hiker type. No frills, cooler bag and hiking guide in the room, etc. We found the room to be impeccably clean and seemingly newly renovated: new floors, fresh paint, etc. The exterior was a bit of a mess though. "The rooms need more lighting. For the price, I was a little disappointed in the room. The mattresses slide all over the bed, the pillows are very hard and pillow case was on inside out. With the shades closed, the room is very dark. The lights hang over the bed and are easy to bump. The coffee pot did not work properly. And there is a $15 amenity fee daily. We didn’t use the pool. So we paid for 1 s'mores bag. Meals and alcohol are very expensive. "

"The place is truly a gem. It’s closer to the entrance of the RMNP, which we found to be convenient, and not in the hustle and bustle of the town.
