"A pleasantly surprising stay in the Saumur/ Doué-la-Fontaine area of the Loire. This property while modern is a gem, we benefited from a comfortable clean and pleasant family room, with a window opening up onto their rear garden area. Woke up to birdsong and quiet , and a great breakfast in their large conservatory. Service excellent and helpful. "what a find clean and tidy inside a bit dated but nothing to worry about. Outside could definitely do with a cobweb sweep and the light fixed and the chairs in good condition one was broken when we git there. The site could do alot more perhaps a bit if entertainment etc and maybe a møre better takeaway although this didn’t stop is having a good holiday."

"The location was wonderful, the view of Chinon castle was spectacular, central loire valley location in a medieval town with a busy Centreville and close to amenities. The pool was great, as was the balcony overlooking all. The unit was well appointed and large enough. A little tired but it was what i expected for a holiday spot geared towards families. All in all a great stay. "

"We first stayed at this hotel in 1986 and gave re-visited several times since. The location is fantastic right in the centre and beside the public car park and lift up to the chateau. The hotel has been renovated and extended over the years and is now even has a roof terrace for chilling out in after a days touring/cycling. The owners have changed over the years and the current owners, Romain & Romain, are wonderful friendly hosts, as are the rest of the hotel staff, We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back again. "
