"This is truly a little gem. An amazing, tastefully restored period building. It is also the owners home and it shows in all the fine details and attention. The building is amazing, spiral staircase, old fashioned bell pull and giant key locks. The rooms tastefully in keeping with the half timbered style whilst still managing to host all modern amenities. The breakfast selection was outstanding and uniquely informal. The attention to detail on the decor of the whole property gives a truly comforting & relaxed feel. The hotel is in a great location within a short 5-10 minute walk in to Chinon centre. "This place is impeccable. In spite of it being in an historic building it has been lovingly maintained. Our triple room had an enormous bedroom with twin sinks. The beds were in separate rooms and there were original paintings on the walls. Breakfast was very good. Stay there if you’re in the area."
