Meet your driver at your hotel and then drive to the northern region of Lori, a lushly forested province. By afternoon, you’ll have reached a small hamlet near Odzun where your horse and guide will be waiting for you. Mount your horse and ride through the Lori Canyon. Pass along the Dzoraget River Canyon. Stop for a picnic in the open air and relish the peace of nature as you enjoy your meal.

Traverse the canyon and discover the Hnevanq Monastery. This quiet and secluded Monastery rests atop a gorge within a hill where the Dzoraget and Gargar rivers join. Savour the serenity of reaching this peaceful place on horseback. Visit the “brother and sister” fortresses which stand on two opposite hills on each bank of the Dzoraget River. Afterwards, loop back to your starting point where a comfortable vehicle will be waiting to drive you back to Yerevan.
