Discover the city of churches and bridges: Wrocław. The city is also known as the “Oder Metropolis” or the “Venice of the North.” Because of its location on the Oder River, Wroclaw was once considered the richest commercial town in the German East. Today it is beautifully renovated and full of impressive sights and cultural events.
During a steamboat tour along the Oder, pass Cathedral Island where you can admire the time-honored cathedral, new and old government buildings, the old water tower and Wrocław Zoological Garden.
As well as a boat tour, enjoy a walk to Centennial Hall. The world's largest domed building made from reinforced concrete was constructed to celebrate 100 years of liberation from Napoleonic rule. Today, the historic icon functions as an exhibition and festival hall.
