The heart of Villa La Angostura (a) Our adventure begins in the charming centre of Villa La Angostura, where we will pick you in transport vehicles.

The beginning of our trip will take us through the picturesque northern area, following Cacique Antriao street until we reach the car park that the Mapuche community has prepared for us. Here, our kind driver will keep the vehicle while our expert guide will immerse us in a previous talk full of security advice and exciting details about the walk that is to come.

Once everyone is well informed and ready for action, we will begin our trekking following the path in the direction of the false edge edge. The climb is zigzagenant on a wide road that once, not long ago, was vehicular.

On the way to the viewpoint, a sign will indicate to the right the entrance to the path of the Inacayal cascade, a water jump of about 50 metres that is accessed by a path between reeds, lengas and thick forest. Even the waterfall will be less than an hour of walking.

The visit to the waterfall will be perfectly combined with the Belvedere Mirador, which will be visited on the way back. We breathe, set image, repair calories and continue along a much narrower and mountain path. The walk is quiet but it continues to climb, softer and stronger at times, but uphill, inside the forest.

When we decided to face the challenge, instead of folding towards the drawer, we continue to climb. It seems that the climb is infinite, but they have confidence, it ends sooner than we think.

Remember that in some moments, the head is more important than muscle or accumulated fatigue. It usually happens that when we think we are coming, when we arrive we realise that there was much more and that can generate unease. But patience. The best is always yet to come.

After one last climb, we reached the rocky top. On the tip, a large wooden cross looks at the run. The view is incredible: Lagos Correntoso, in the background Nahuel Huapi, on our left the hills Inacayal, Valle del Cajón Negro and Cerro Bayo.

The descent is much more agile, although you do not have to “spend” the legs with the enthusiasm of the beginning, because it will be a long time down.

When going down, reaching the last stretch of the tour we will pass through a beautiful Andean -patagonic native forest path that leads to Mirador Belvedere, a natural viewpoint that allows splendid views of the northern arm of Lake Nahuel Huapi, the bridge on Route 231 under which The brief running river connects with the Correntoso Lake and a partial view of the latter.

Back to reality with imperishable memories finally, we will take the way back to the starting point, where our transport will be waiting for us to take us back to the heart of Villa La Angostura.
