This full day tour offers you a chance to explore the hidden charm of Vientiane, an ancient city situated by the mighty Mekong. Joining this tour, you will have a comprehensive understanding of Laos generally and Vientiane particularly by visiting the city’s historic temples and national monuments as well as the Buddha Park and a traditional handicraft gallery.
This full day tour takes you to some destinations. The time in each destination can be flexible as your request as long as it doesn’t affect the whole plan.
At 8.30 am, you will be greeted and picked up at your hotel’s lobby.
Then, you will be driven to the first destination of the tour Wat Sisaket, the most ancient temple and one of the most popular points in Vientiane. Coming here, you will see thousands of tiny Buddha images and rows with hundreds of seated Buddha made of different sizes and materials. So, there are more than 8000 Buddhas in total. Your next spot is Ho Prakeo which was the former temple of Emerald Buddha statue and now it houses all Buddha statues, artefacts and antiques found around Vientiane.
At 10.30 am, you will reach That Luang stupa which is widely known as the national symbol and the most important monument in Laos. Here, you will be impressed by the Laos beautiful architecture style which is influenced by Buddhist beliefs.
At 12.00, you will enjoy a nice lunch at a local restaurant and have a short rest before continuing the afternoon programme.
At 1.30 pm, you restart the tour by visiting gallery Carol Cassidy where you can see different kinds of weaving textile and learn about the traditional natural dye making process, and the Buddha Park with a large number of Buddha statues with different shapes and sizes.
At 3.30 pm, you will be driven back to your hotel and the tour ends.
