From Ruzafa, we will pedal for approximately 15 minutes to reach the City of Arts and Sciences. This modern complex, designed by the renowned architect Santiago Calatrava, is one of Valencia's most iconic landmarks. Upon arrival, we will spend 30 minutes exploring the exteriors of the most emblematic buildings in the City of Arts and Sciences. You will have the opportunity to admire the striking architecture of the Hemisfèric, a giant eye-shaped IMAX cinema; the Umbracle, a landscaped walkway with native plant species; the Science Museum, with its futuristic design; and the Oceanogràfic, Europe’s largest aquarium. The surroundings of the City of Arts and Sciences are serene and beautifully landscaped, with expansive reflecting pools and lush gardens. The area is perfect for taking photos, relaxing, and soaking in the avant-garde architecture. The historic buildings on both sides of the street add a touch of charm and authenticity to the walk. It is a perfect place to enjoy the local atmosphere and perhaps stop to try a horchata or a typical sweet. Upon arriving at the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, you will be greeted by its wide open spaces and monumental architecture. The square is the administrative heart of the city and is surrounded by imposing buildings such as the Valencia City Hall and the Post Office, both with impressive facades. Plaza de Toros de Valencia
Finally we return to Ruzafa on a 15-minute tour where we will pass two emblematic buildings of Valencia; The Bullring and the North Station. Plaza de Toros de Valencia The Plaza de Toros de Valencia, inaugurated in 1859, is a neoclassical monument inspired by Roman amphitheatres, with a capacity for 12,000 spectators. Its red brick facade and arches are visually striking. It hosts bullfights, concerts, and cultural events, especially during Fallas. The area around it is lively, with many bars and restaurants. Estación del Norte The Estación del Norte, Valencia's main train station, opened in 1917, is a modernist gem. Its facade features mosaics and ceramics reflecting Valencian culture. The main hall has beautiful tiles and stained glass. Besides being a transport hub, it is an architectural landmark, centrally located near the Plaza de Toros and other attractions.
