Enjoy an amazing truffle hunting with a professional “Trifolao” and his trained dog in Monforte d' Alba. Breathe pure air in a gorgeous wood and enjoy the intense truffle scent. Accompanied by your guide to meet the hunter and his two dogs, who are specially trained to sniff out truffles, you’ll have a good chance of tracking down the elusive fungi. Along the way, learn more about truffles and why they are so rare, and pick up expert tips on how to find them. The experience ends with a wine tasting.

These tours all start in Monforte d'Alba, where you will meet your guide, and you need your own transport to drive following the guide to the forest area and from there to the winery (we can provide transfer service from Monforte for an additional charge with limited places on request). There is an introduction about truffles, types, where they are found, how they grow etc. Arrived to the wood you would meet the hunter and his specially trained dogs and will start the hunt. Truffles found during the hunting are not included in the price. The walk will take place in a wooded environment, so comfortable clothing suitable for outdoor routes is recommended. Particular attention should be paid during the cold season. If necessary, rain coats and wellington boots will be provided.
After the search you can enjoy a wine tasting in a typical family-run winery where you will taste different wines including the famous Barolo.

During May to Septembe you may find The Summer Black Truffle and from mid September to January you will search the famous White Truffle!
