What you can expect

Savour a small-group tour flavoured with traditional Catalan delicacies, refreshing wine, and sparkling cava—all home-produced. Relax and take in vistas of the superb Spanish countryside, impressive mountain peaks, and the renowned Montserrat monastery.

As you leave the city and drive towards the mountainous region, admire the evergreen countryside. On the north face of Montserrat, arrive at a charming village that is famous for cattle breeding and cheese production. Here, stop by a beautifully restored, medieval farmhouse to taste local cheeses and wine.

Continue to Santa Cecília, a former Benedictine monastery. Listen to your guide's narration about the monks' heritage—still found in farming ways and gastronomic traditions—and taste locally grown samples that vary by season such as almonds, peaches, honey, or home-cured meats.

At your next stop on the south face of the mountain, walk along olive tree groves and visit a 16th-century farmhouse, an old olive oil mill, and medieval water tanks. Learn about olive oil production and try different oil types before a home-cooked farm lunch. Next, visit a local winery to see the cava production process, from the underground cellars and barreling room to the finished product, and sample 4 types of cava and wine.
