What you can expect

We will depart from selected hotels in El Calafate at 6:30 AM, embarking on a captivating journey through the Patagonian steppe from north to south for approximately 2 and a half hours, until we reach the Cancha Carrera border crossing.

From here, we will venture into the beautiful southern region of Chile, entering Torres del Paine National Park. The park's name, 'Azules' in the Tehuelche language, refers to the predominant colour that mesmerises visitors in this enchanting place. Once here, we will engage in various activities, including exhilarating hikes and thrilling 4x4 vehicle tours.

Leaving behind the Cerro Castillo border, we will follow the path along Lake Toro and arrive at the majestic Serrano River. Along the way, we will be treated to panoramic views of the imposing Paine Grande and Almirante Nieto mountains. We will make a stop to capture breathtaking photos and admire the distant beauty of Lake Grey.

Then, we will reach the Rio Serrano gate, where park rangers will check our entry tickets. We will then continue towards the Phoe campsite, where we will have time to savour a delightful lunch while taking in the mesmerising panoramic view of the iconic Cuernos del Paine.

At approximately 1:00 PM, we will arrive at Puerto Pudeto, the starting point of the trail leading to Salto Grande. This scenic hike lasts around 40 minutes, and if weather conditions permit, we will continue with a longer walk (about 50 minutes more) towards Lake Nordenskjold, allowing us to admire the awe-inspiring Cuernos del Paine up close.

Next, we will embark on a vehicle journey towards the Superior Viewpoint of Lake Nordenskjold, passing by the enchanting Swan Lagoon until we reach Laguna Amarga. From this vantage point, we will be rewarded with a captivating panoramic vista of the majestic Torres del Paine.

After visiting these breathtaking sites, we will proceed to Cerro Castillo, commencing our return journey at around 5:00 PM, aiming to arrive back at our selected hotels in El Calafate at approximately 9:00 PM. Join us on this unforgettable excursion that will leave you with cherished memories of the remarkable Patagonian landscape.
