Overview

Take a short hike to the exterior shooting location of the 1960s tv show “Batman” starring Adam West. Learn about the geology and quarry history that led to this location’s most famous roles on the silver screen.

This tour starts in the Brush Canyon car park and goes up the short Bronson Caves Hike Trail to the eponymous cave used as an exterior location for the 1960s tv series starring Adam West - as well as many other Hollywood films. This tour is the shortest tour but offers rich and unique examples of all the riparian, sage scrub, oak woodland, and chaparral communities as the longer tours - and even includes a great view of the Hollywood Sign. Like all of Earth City Wonder Tours, this tour covers the 4 major eras of Los Angeles: the pre-Colombian Tongva/Gabrielino era, the New Spain Era, the Mexico Era, and the US American era - all in the context of four major ecological communities in Southern California.
