Drina river house: The Hut in the River is a Serbian postcard-style scenery that has attracted worldwide attention since it appeared in the National Geographic magazine in August 2012. Behind the cabin in the river lies a very meaningful storey. In 1968, in order to enrich their childhood, two teenagers living in the town of Baina Bashta built a wooden house on the reef in the river at home as a base for their little friends. Unfortunately, this small river will be flooded every March, and there will be a large-scale flood every 5-10 years. The first generation cottage was destroyed by a flood without persisting for a long time. However, the hearts of the two teenagers were as tough as Serbia. They did not submit to nature and rebuilt the cottage again and again. The cabin we are in is now the seventh generation.

The exact date and builder of the Maghrich fort is unknown, and there is no early documentation of the fort, according to archaeological findings dating back to the 13th century. The fortress was built on the top of a mountain surrounded by water on three sides, with a unique perspective of surveillance, guarding the inevitable path of the ancient city of Russ to the central plains of Serbia at that time. All people and horses must pass by the river at the foot of the fortress. . The fortress is surrounded by eight towers and connected city walls. Inside the fortress there are sites such as arsenals, barracks, command rooms, churches, etc. When completed, they were used to defend nearby towns and monasteries. During the Ottoman rule, they also served as military garrisons. It was used as a base for the uprising during the Serbian Revolution and is one of the more complete fortress sites in Serbia today.
