At the time of its acquisition, Taormina Castle was in a state of complete abandonment, closed to the public and lacking in security. Today, after 35 years, the Castle has finally been reopened to visitors, offering an immersive experience that allows them to explore the history and tradition of this fascinating area.
Visitors are greeted by our staff and provided with a multilingual audio guide available in eight languages, which connects to the descriptive and historical panels located throughout the Castle. This allows guests to not only read the information on the panels but also listen to it by simply selecting the corresponding number on the audio guide.
Additionally, a detailed map of the Castle is provided, available in two languages, featuring a 3D floor plan that highlights the 21 points of interest to explore. At the end of the visit, each guest will receive a personalised parchment titled “Nobilis Castri Tauromenii,” with their name and two authentic stamps from Taormina Castle, applied by our staff. This symbolic recognition serves to commemorate the unique experience enjoyed within the Castle.
