The beautiful little town of Cooran is home to family owned Noosa Hinterland Brewing Co. Housed in a heritage listed building, the old Alfredson’s Joinery, pre-cut house workshop, this place is worth a visit on its own.

This is a true microbrewery with the brew-kit and fermenters visible just over the bar. You’ll be visiting on a day that they’re not open to the public, so you’ll be able to pull up a stool at the bar and see the brewing process in action. Chat to the brewer or owner one-on-one with plenty of opportunities to ask questions and discuss the beers. Learn about ingredients, taste profiles and the process for each of their unique brews. Then enjoy a tasting paddle with 4 beers chosen by the brewer for you.

Andy comes from a family with a long history of beekeeping and Mead making and has a passion for all things Mead. He has honed his skill as a mead maker over the years under the watchful eye and plenty of advice from his grandfather.
