Sneaking into its beautiful Italian Gothic courtyard, you can examine ornate coats of arms of families who served on the Council of Nine, the founders of the 13th-century palace. From here, you can finish the tour on your way by either admiring numerous world-class frescoes and paintings in the museum, conquering the Tower of Eater of the palace for splendid views over the city, or just simply going back to the square and enjoying its delicious gelato.
