What you can expect
Explore some of the highlights surrounding Siem Reap on this private tour. Join your guide to discover Angkor Wat, Tonle Sap, and Kulen Mountain.
Day 1:
Depart from your accommodation in the morning and head to the Angkor Archaeological Park. Discover Angkor Tom, the last ancient capital city of the Khmer Empire, and see its beautiful stone temples. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant nearby before visiting the famous Angkor Wat Temple. Take the opportunity to see the sunset from Phnom Bakheng Hill before being dropped off back at your hotel.
Day 2:
The next day, depart your hotel with your guide at 4:40 AM to see the sunrise at Angkor Wat. To avoid the crowds, your guide will first take you to the jungle temple of Ta Prom, known as the Tomb Raider Temple. Then, continue to other temples, like Preah Khan, Neak Pean Ta Som, East Mebon, and Pre Rup Temple. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and then visit the Banteay Srei, a pink sandstone temple, before being dropped off at your accommodation.
Day 3:
The following day, spend the morning exploring Siem Reap's countryside. See how the Cambodian people make rice noodles and taste the famous palm cake. Then, drive to Kulen National Park to see the biggest reclining Buddha stone statue in Cambodia, built in the 16th century. See the park's beautiful waterfalls and a river of a thousand Shiva lingas, considered a holy river for the Khmer people. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant and then take a cruise to see the floating village of Kampong Phluk at Tonle Sap Lake. Return to Siem Reap in the late afternoon.
Day 4:
Depart at 8 AM for a tour of Koh Ker Group and the jungle temple of Beng Melea.
Start your tour with morning pickup from your hotel and make your way to the remote archaeological site of the Koh Ker Group in northern Cambodia.
Visit Prasat Thom, part of the Koh Ker Group, believed to have been the state temple of King Jayavarman IV. This temple creates an imposing sight with its 7-tiered pyramid shape and numerous shrines. Learn all about the formerly powerful Khmer Empire as you tour the area with your guide.
In the afternoon, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before heading to Beng Melea, a 12th-century temple in the middle of the jungle. Discover the most ruined temple in the Angkor Park, heavily overgrown with vegetation, trees, lianas, and moss.. Return back to your hotel.
