Overview

This day safari takes you to KwaZulu-Natal, a coastal province known for its beauty and diverse array of wildlife. The tour has two stops: Howick Falls which is a waterfall in the KwaZulu-Natal province. It falls roughly 310 feet from the river into a pool before the river continues on. Our final stop is at Nelson Mandela Capture Site where we visit a museum and a stirring monument of Nelson Mandela.

From Natal Lion Park we proceed to Howick Falls - this a waterfall in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa. It falls roughly 310 feet from the river into a pool before the river continues on. The Zulu name for the falls is KwaNogqaza, and legend is that a huge serpent lives in the pool beneath the falls. From Howick Falls we proceed to the Nelson Mandela Capture Site, this is the place where Nelson Mandela was arrested on 5 August 1962 outside of Howick, KZN Natal, South Africa. He went on to spend the next 27 years of his life in prison. ​ The Nelson Mandela Capture Site commemorates this moment in history with a visitor centre and a world renowned sculpture.
