Kaeng Krachan National Park is the largest national park of Thailand. It is on the border with Burma, contiguous with the Tanintharyi Nature Reserve. It is a popular park owing to its proximity to the tourist town of Hua Hin. It was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site on 26 July 2021

The name of "Pa Lau Waterfall" is derived from the word "La-U" in Karen language, which means "bamboo" because the area of this waterfall is fulled of bamboo.Pa La-U Waterfall is located in Kaeng Krachan National Park on an area of approximately 437,000,000 square metres with the abundant nature and wildlife. The wild animals that are easily seen include gibbons, elephants, hedgehogs, and rare birds such as the red-headed trogons, green-billed malkohas, great slaty woodpeckers, rusty-breasted Cuckoos, etc. It is considered as another suitable place for bird watching. The waterfall has a total of 15 cascades with individual different beauty. Climbing up to higher level is more difficult, respectively. The staff recommended visitors to climb up to the 5th level due to the steep path limited for security.
