The Wat Rong Khun is the best highlight in Chiangrai, founded in 1997 by the most famous artist of Thailand called Chalermchai Kositpipat. This is a unique temple that stands out through the white colour and the use of pieces of glass in the plaster, sparkling in the sun. The white colour signifies the purity of the Buddha and architecture of the temple combines the modern Thai and Lanna Thai design which symbolises Buddhist heaven.
Golden Triangle

The Golden Triangle is the border of 3 countries join ; Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos, in one place. It is 9 kilometres north of Chiang Saen along the Mekong riverside road. Sop Ruak is the place where Mekong River, the border between Thailand and Laos, meets Ruak River, the border between Thailand and Myanmar. In the past, Golden Triangle was the world's large source of drug trafficking owing to its privileged location attached to many countries. However, it is currently taken good care of and becomes a popular tourist attraction. From the viewpoint, the tourists will find the land that connects the three countries, surrounded by long and calm Mae Kong river.
Wat Rong Seur Ten (Blue Temple)

The temple's construction was initiated by the local community in 1996 to replace an old abandoned temple which previously stood on the site, though construction did not start until 2005. Its final design was realised by local artist called Sala Nok. Wat Rong Suea Ten translates to “House of the dancing tiger”. The temple was named after the tigers that once roamed the area. The Buddha image in the chapelis more than six metres tall and dates back to 2008. It’s called Buddha Rajamongkol Bodhi Trilokanat.

Wat Huay Pla Kang was founded in 2005, designed by a true visionary, which explains its unusual style which is known for its unique architecture, built with Chinese-Lanna style. The temple has three principal places to experience such as ; - Guanyin statue is one of the main attractions, mistakenly called the Big Lady Buddha, Guan Yin was the legend of Buddhist ‘Goddess of which is an important deity in the Mahayana Buddhist school. In this part, we can take lift to the top of statue at 25-26 floor, and see the view of Chiang Rai from the head of Guanyin statue.
Mae Khachan Hot Spring

Mae Khachan Hot Spring is at the half way from Chiangmai to Chiangrai which is mountain surrounded, is ranked as one of the best hot springs in the north which has not only a wonderfully natural sight of the north but also, a lot of interesting inside which attract both Thai and foreigner visitors. There is nice mineral water for feet to soak in its garden for relaxing , and traveller also can buy chicken eggs to boil in the natural hot water , and have a nice coffee from high land in Chiangrai.
