The Cinque Terre is an area of the Italian Riviera. It is a stretch of coastline, about 20 km long, which starts in the west at Monterosso al Mare and finishes in the east at Vernazza.
The Cinque Terre has been populated since prehistoric times. The first settlements were on high ground like Monterosso and Vernazza. Tourists can still see remains of these settlements today.
The villages that make up the Cinque Terre are all linked by footpaths called “Via dei Sentieri.” There are two main paths: one from Monterosso to Riomaggiore and one from Manarola to Corniglia.
Together with your personal official tour guide, you will marvel at the breathtaking vistas of Cinque Terre. You will undoubtedly have some free time (at your guide's suggestion) to enjoy a delicious Italian lunch before returning to Livorno.
