What you can expect

Take to the skies on a helicopter flight over the majestic landscapes of the Chugach Mountains. Land on a glacier for an up-close look at these powerful frozen wonders, watch for wildlife like lumbering bears, and fly back over Prince William Sound for unbelievable views of tidewater glaciers and fjords.

Make your own way to the hangar in Girdwood and then kick off your high-flying adventure as you lift up into the clear skies over glacier country. Soar over the craggy blue ice formations and massive snowfields of ancient glaciers like George, Lake George Valley, Whiteout, and Colony, admiring a 360-degree panorama of the landscape shaped by these frozen giants.

For a chance to take in the pristine natural beauty of your surroundings in silence, touch down on either Colony Glacier or atop a high ridge. Watch the ice-carved valleys below to see mountain goats, moose, and bears on the rocky hillsides and grassy plains, and then hop back in the helicopter.

Your return flight takes you over the cobalt waters of Prince William Sound, where you can gaze down at dramatic fjords and fly right up next to icebergs and the 400-foot-tall (122-m) faces of tidewater glaciers. Keep your eyes peeled for seals and otters floating on the water's surface before cutting a course back to Girdwood to wrap up your excursion.
